The Balcony Cafe

The Balcony Cafe is located alongside the cities museum and art gallery in the Victoria institute, or as most people know it, ‘the old library’. Its just past the railway station as you walk away from the city center. The perfect place for a quick tea and cake if your train has been delayed. It’s a beautiful, elegant building from the outside and even more spectacular from the inside. The cafe is upstairs set around the balcony looking down on to the entrance and gift shop below. We serve light lunches, teas locally roasted coffee and a great choice of cake, including vegan and gluten free options 10.30-4.15 Monday to Saturday. We look forward to seeing you soon.
