I’ve bought many books here. I was glad to have it so near my house. But in recent years it’s been managed by a grump who sets a sour mood for the whole place. What an awful experience. An absolutely horrible man behind the till. We went in to see if there were any books from the overpriced used store after picking up some new from a lovely independent book store. Good selection of books! I did get some pretty dirty looks though when I entered the store without my mask, I wear my exception card still. I’m 6 months pregnant and have been struggling with hypremesis which makes wear a mask very difficult, I felt super guilty when the guy on the desk looked me up and down and stared... read full comment
