“Having been on a Charity Shop journey across Brighton, and having experienced some incredible items, such as Jump the Gun shirts for £3 and brilliant books for a pound, I have to admit my hopes weren't as high in Southwick as they were in Brighton, for this purple patch to continue. In nearly did. I saw a jumberjack loggers style jacket for £1.50, which I thought would fit perfectly, with my quick naked eye sizing up. It didn't sadly and was a bit too big, but nevertheless it was there, it was trendy, it was £1.50 and it would have been hanging outside To be Worn Again for about a tenner! However I must say after this I wasn't blown away by anything, as the selection did seem to generally fit into the older crowds tastes, with lots of quite cheesy chick lit stuff and Michael Bolton CDs. Weirdly though, amongst all of this there sat Frankenstein, and even weirder, a very serious book written by someone or other Phd. about how to live with Narcissists, which it said was one of the most common Personality Diseases of our time. Strange, but I guess it could come in handy, and to be honest i'd read most things so that I wouldn't have to listen to Michael Bolton.”
