The hotel and pub is located right on the high street but the library building shield most of the noise from the street. The hotel is in an historic building so the floor in our room was almost comically uneven - I suppose it adds to the charm. Denbigh Castle is very close so you can do that on foot.

We were told we needed to book, so we did, when we got there we got ignored by the 3 bar staff, when they eventually saw us, they said someone has just sat on your table, we were seated at the back of the pub out of the draught of the propped open door. Drinks order was taken but told they didnt have cucumber for hendricks... read full comment
