We love coming here. Comfy seats, no heads in view, good screen, (very!) loud and clear sound, decent range of drinks and snacks. Great bar at the front too.

Great local cinema with an excellent selection of movies ranging from new releases, independent films and classics. Also showing select films in 35mm. Come here regularly as a student at Newcastle and tickets are discounted for under-25s with a free Young Tyneside membership. Staff always welcoming. Overall a great independent... read full comment

Tyneside cinema is my favourite cinema in Newcastle but the National Theatre Live performance of Prima Facie (wonderful play with Jodie Comer) was marred. This was largely due to the Electra screening room (used to screen the play) had poor signage for folks entering in the dark clearly struggling to find their correct... read full comment
