This was a lovely pub for drinking, with a majestic design! This is contributed to from the architecture with its curves, pillars linking to the floor and the stylish counter. Staff were friendly and I enjoyed a refreshing Gin with Lemonade, sitting outside in the heat!

Had a good time there the locals were a good laugh
Originally built as a timber frame house in the 1650s, alterations in 1758 allowed an alehose called the May Pole to open in part of the building. In the 1780s it became a coaching inn called the White Bear and over time this was shortened to the Bear.
