Food was great, all very very nice. I had the seafood platter as did my husband and everything from the starter to the cheeseboard was great. Fantastic view out the back of the fields, wonderful on a warm summer evening.

Mediocre service with uninspiring menu. But this is a “gastropub”, it’s certainly not a restaurant. Staff are perfectly pleasant though many appeared inexperienced. Expensive when adding drinks, making it not great value. Wouldn’t bother going back.
The White post lies directly on two counties of Dorset & Somerset with views across miles of beautiful country side.
The food served at The White Post is modern British & emphasis on local ingredients is the key here, various herbs, vegetables, edible flowers are all grown within the pub garden also winning numerous awards along the way, Michelin guide, top 50 gastro pub awards & taste of the west backed by a concise wine list and a broad of cocktails to start your lunch, dinner or Full afternoon tea.
The White post is run by a small team of passionate individuals whom all pay such a important part of the business & nothing is to much hassle.
