A small unassuming pub, but do not let that discourage you. Go there for the Guinness (Autumn/Winter only), and the steaks... I cannot recommend this place enough. We popped in on the off chance of eating but were told that all the burgers were sold out? but he had steaks? great for me but not hubby. This was the highlight of our holiday. The landlord and lady could not do enough for us. They made us feel very welcome. Traditional pub food which was outstanding. The steaks are to die for. We visited 3 times in one week and had steak on each occasion. Very reasonably priced and good size portions.
A beautiful dog and child friendly village pub sat in the heart of Somerset that does proper pub food at reasonable prices.
Large enclosed beer garden at rear, great selection of real ales and lagers.
Home to the world famous international Turnip Prize.
