That's a JOKE. Mails delivered occasionally, more spam leaflets than letters. Now waiting for parcels from tuesday. Redelivery booked for today, info on tracking that parcels will be delivered 7.30am - 7.30 pm (Saturday). Waiting all day home noone show... I have funny feeling that rm now try to beat evri... Avoid them at any cost...

Portishead delivery office claimed that no one in when delivering parcel obvious lies as front of house is covered by CCTV and clearly shows that no-one attempted to deliver anything. This is the 3rd time on a few months. Totally useless service.

I don't know what is going on with Royal Mail these days... whether the issues are local to the Portishead sorting office, or what. We frequently don't see a postman / woman in our street for days... then get a bundle of mail that's clearly been held for some time. Multiple times now I've had parcels sent to me by next day tracked delivery (including one perishable item I'm waiting for) - which show as being received at Portishead sorting office, then don't come out to me until several days later. It's bad enough that our Post Office has gone, the delivery office barely opens long enough for anyone who has a job to speak to a real person, and the Royal Mail website/ customer service line makes it impossible to get an accurate answer about what's happening with your delivery. It really is an abysmal state of affairs.

This office is good. The workers get a lot of unfair grief on here. The postie on the village quarter is pretty good. I'd like my parcel to be left at my door more often then taken back to the office. At the end of the day the Royal mail is being compared to Amazon. Stop giving money to Jeff Bezos, and protect UK jobs!!!

I've had nothing but good service from here. Staff always polite and friendly. Honestly, the peiple complaining about opening hours clearly don't realise they can order a redelivery online.

Never get my parcels,some letters end up in someone else's letterbox. The opening times are absolutely rubbish. Only two hours a day.i work all day and most of the week never get tge chance to speak to someone.

Moved here a few months ago. Myself and my partner are disabled and live in a ground floor flat. Our regular post lady refuses to deliver to our door. We?ve complained directly with head office who have contacted the local office to make sure it?s delivered to our own front door. Nothing has changed though. The post lady just ignores us when we ask her to bring it to our door (it?s only three metres away from the communal door, an easy walk for an able bodied person!) The other post people are happy to bring it to us. It means we aren?t getting our post every day as we should be.

Opening hours are pretty awful, even before Covid.Staff do their best, but at times the service falls short of acceptable by modern standards.In this modern time having such a limited opening of the collection office in Portishead is very frustrating. I've called the office this morning for the 8 am opening to find the website is incorrect and the collection office does not open at all on Wednesdays.So, sending items by Royal Mail is like using the old wells cargo stagecoach, well behind these modern times.Updated Sept 2021.Now open 2 hours a day 6 days a week I believe, but check their website.It's not the greatest of parcel services, think The Royal Mail needs to revamp itself into the 21st centuryUpdated October 2021Seems as if Royal Mail has listened to its customers.The collection office hours have been increased albeit not by very much.Now added one late afternoon opening time and a longer opening time on Saturday.A move in the right direction, but still not brilliant by any standard.I'd check their website to avoid a wasted journey as opening someday change again I guess?

The signs on the doors re opening times don't correspond with each other, let alone what it says on here. And now you can only collect between 8-10 during the week, absolutely ridiculous.

Poor Communication, terrible service, really bad opening times. Blaming covid does not get the country moving. Every other courier delivers first time. DO NOT SEND ANYTHING ROYAL MAIL IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR CUSTOMERS AND YOUR BUSINESS

Live in a retirement complex in Portishead. The postman has ceased to deliver to each flat as previously. Post now dumped inside front door and left to residents/manager to distribute. Surely this does not come under their legal requirement to deliver to each address.

There has been no postman showing up for the past 5 days now. And yet i was assured by a van driver who was going around my area, dropping off Tracked Packages that there would be a delivery on the Friday of last week who was covering for the regular postie. I cannot even get an answer from the local Post Master running the Post Office. I would be interested if someone could answer why there has not been any cover?
