This has been an emotional week, stopped off at this Tesco for a few bits. There was a lady called Sue at the till who was an absolute angel. Thank you so much Sue, thing is, you don't even know how you helped me. Thank you so much Sue xx

The Manager is such a friendly kind guy. Always greets us with a smile and a kind word which makes me return. He used to work at my local in Portishead years ago and was just as lovely so I was delighted to find as I moved house he moved stores !

Nowadays the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and always offer to help (I'm disabled and can't lift anything heavy). The prices are surprisingly not extortionate - usually the same as a big Tesco supermarket.Biggest drawback are arrogant able bodied customers who far too frequently park in the disabled parking spaces (if this happens i drive straight to the Sainsbury superstore instead) - however this rarely happens after 8pm (i assume all the builders and their vans and pick up trucks are at the pub by then).Note: the turning out of the car park isn't always the easiest.

Delightful encounter with a member of staff today who declined me the sale of alcohol (Desperados) despite showing my driving licence as ID which clearly shows that I am 28 years old. I was not offended as it is not uncommon for me to be told how young I look, and I took the opportunity to thank her for her compliment of my ability to retain such a youthful complexion. I am uncertain as to whether she believed I was a younger brother or someone else impersonating me, but seeing as the nearly 10-year-old picture on my ID and my current face look near enough identical, along with distinctively dark eyebrows, it may have confused her into thinking I am some sort of ageless entity, and I?m not sure she?s allowed to sell alcohol to those.. Anyway, she apologised, perhaps realising she had made a mistake but not wanting to go back on her commitment, and the alcohol was promptly whisked away behind the counter. So there we had it, I went on my way with my food and milk, minus alcohol- amused, if a little bewildered at what had just happened, having regularly been asked for ID in the past, but never outright declined service despite showing it. Perhaps she is a guardian angel watching over this 28 year old?s liver, which will now go unpickled for another day.Thank you staff at Tesco Express Congresbury, may you go on protecting us all from the devastating impacts of casual alcohol consumption.

Expensive because it's on an A road. It's got a wide selection however, including a foreign imports section

Harsh, oppressive atmosphere. The staff are very judgemental and even laughed at my outfit once. Wouldn't go here even to save my own son, Bonzo.

Heard rumours that this is just a front for money laundering. Also one employee looked at me the wrong way
