    This is a wonderful bookstore in the city of Inverness. The owner Pauline is so friendly and knowledgeable about the area. She is also an author and her books are so fun and cute!     Wonderful shop! A big variety of children's books in Gaelic and other languages. The shop owner was a delight to talk to and you can tell that she really loves what she does. If you're looking for children's books or gifts, this is the place!

Ablekids Press is a publishing house set up in 2007 by Inverness-born Pauline Mackay to produce children's books. As well as selling our own books, including bilingual editions, our shop premises on Market Brae Steps also stocks a range of other publishers' titles. We have one of the best selections of children's Scottish Gaelic books including a range of Tintin and Asterix stories, books suitable for those wishing to learn a few words of Gaelic, collectible language editions of 'The Little Prince' and a small but growing selection of adult books by Scottish authors.
