Unfortunately, the customer care standards at the River restaurant in Gourock have slipped considerably. In fairness, the restaurant was busy but certainly not full. However, after waiting around 5 minutes to be seated while holding a baby, we then waited another 15 minutes before we eventually asked to see a menu. Around...

What has happened to The River? Went for dinner for my partners birthday. Arrived at 7pm and one of the staff pointed to our table. We sat for 20 minutes with no staff member around and when one did appear and asked what wr wanted we had to say that a menu would be nice!! We finally ordered our meals and a bottle of wine....
