Was looking forward to the curry night. Service very slow; even though it was a set menu it would have been useful to have a menu on the table of what to expect. Dined at the Woodlands Restaurant on Saturday for lunch whilst at the Boswell Book Festival. The food itself was good however the portions were very small which when paying £29 for one course and £38 for 2 courses does not represent good value. We had a superb meal, served up by the Hospitality team in training. I had chicken fricassee, hubby had the fish pie. Both of these main courses were absolutely delicious. For dessert I had cherry & frangipane tart and hubs had apple & blackberry crumble. Again, we were extremely impressed with the quality of these dishes.... read full comment
