Great location but it feels a little strange, it's quite dark inside and the bar abandoned at times.

I absolutely loved this hotel! It was -10 outside and walking in to a blazing log fire and winding down with a nice beer or two was comforting! The food, although very posh and slightly more than affordable on my company's budget was delicious! My room was comfortable and warm considering the outside temperature! I recommend this hotel for explorers and grafters!

We went for Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed. Black pudding starter was delicious as was the beef roast. Beautiful views over the solway even on a rainy day. Cosy seating in the bar area with the fire. Will definitely be back.

Went for breakfast when staying with friends in Annan because they knew the hotel did gluten free bacon rolls and I am Coeliac. I wish I'd asked where they got the rolls from; more like a brioche but still delicious. Definitely want to go back next time I'm in the area.

We always try to visit when we are here visiting our family and have never been disappointed. We've eaten in the restaurant many times (also when it was "just" Del Amitri, in Annan). We have also stayed in the past. Today, we treated my recently widowed mother to afternoon tea and it was perfect. Welcoming and attentive (without being over the top). My mum really enjoyed herself and it was lovely to see her smiling face clutching her doggy bag. Thank you for yet another relaxing foodie treat - the baking gets better and better. Steph & RobRooms: Excellent: clean, comfortable and roomy.Food & drinks: Always superb: the tapas style evening menu enables us to try more things and the afternoon tea was exactly right.

The restaurant food is awful, disgusting and expensive. Please don?t go! Manager described the style of menu as up and coming. It needs to up and go in the rubbish bin. Tapas style menu, choice of dishes were very weird and not really easy to choose appertising ones. We chose 9 dishes only 4 were eaten the others were left as disgusting. The young waitress couldn?t explain the menu and the other tall waitress was abrupt and rude when asked to repeat herself. The chairs had stains on and the settees had seen better days. Not an enjoyable experience at allFood & drinks: Restaurant food is disgusting and expensive and not up and coming as was described to us by the rude waitress/manager. I have eaten far better food elsewhere

Please DONT GO ITS AWFUL We don?t usually write a review unless something we do, see, stay or eat is special or really bad to help others decide. Well please take note when we say the restaurant here is awful, from first entering we should of known to walk away albeit they had already taken our card number in case of what they referred to as a no show. We were told by the waitress that she couldn?t explain the menu as it was too confusing for her and that the manager goes to each table to explain it, we can now see why. It?s set out in a way you pay a lot of money for different bits which anywhere else would be included. The food itself was awful and we left most of it having only eaten the side of chips. We told the manager who in my opinion was very abrupt and rude. The sofas in the lounge were that worn out my elderly guests couldn?t get up out of them, the chair covers in the Resturant were covered in stains, and if we wanted a drink at the bar we had to walk around the place to find someone to serve us. It?s a bogstandard hotel trying to be something it will never be, and run like Fawlty Towers RUBBISH.

Perfect place to get away too. It was lovely and quiet, the rooms were spotless and maintained. The staff were very friendly and accomodating and the food here was very good. Being a guest house owner myself I would highly recommend The Powfoot , thank you. Phil & Sian Tracey The Haven Guest House. Holyhead. North Wales.
