The staff @ the Hexham branch are always accommodating but it's impossible to 'phone through to the branch (or any other) without going through the Halifax automated 0345 number - and that's where the rot sets in; appalling disregard for 'customer care' and a barrage of largely irrelevant questions to which there are offered...
