Went for a meal on sunday,, and honestly the worst meal I have ever had out in my life! I?m not someone who ever complains or writes reviews but I?m just sorely disappointed after going for a family birthday meal and paying £235 for something that was awful. The ?chicken wing starters with blue cheese dip? came out as chicken legs and sarrachi dip? , one person at my table ordered chicken curry and I honestly cannot explain it any better than saying the curry was like dishwater , I could see water running on the plate and the chicken lumps were sticking together like a paste. We had to actually send the dish back which I have never had to do anywhere in my life, because it honestly just looked uneatable. 1 person ordered the turkey and ham dinner and it came with veg that had turned black and the meat was awful awful dry , it couldn?t be ate either. I could go on but no one enjoyed there dinner which is sorely disappointing after having enjoyed a meal here last year before.

Travelling through Scotland and Ireland I was lucky I had booked this hotel. In one word: SUPER.Rooms excellent, hospitality extreme friendly (ASH), restaurant / pub , the total combination is hard to find. I could even park my BMW motor in the music-place. SUPER.Rooms: Excellent in every detail

In the centre of the town easy access to all around local and beyond. Service couldn't fault it. The room was very spacious. I stayed on a Thursday night and directly below my window was a beer garden not sure how I would feel having that room over the weekend. Overall a good experience. Just check you don't get the beer garden room Id say you'll not have a good night's sleep

As a cyclist who among many others , frequently stopped here for a quick tea/coffee and scone, the prices are pretty shocking in comparison to other venues. £17.20 for 3 teas and 3 scones, where typical charge is around £12.00.Cyclists are in and out fairly quickly and support local venues throughout the year. However this venue is ?off the list? which is a pity.Noteworthy details: Too pricey.

Stopped for the carvery meal - strange to have to pay up front - table had sticky surfaces- food was not to a great standard- music so loud that we couldn't talk at the table. Don't think I'll be back.
