Excellent Sunday lunch. Roast beef was superb and huge Yorkshire pudding. Good value for two courses. Portion size was large. Lindsey an excellent host. Would highly recommend. Will be back.

We’ve eaten at Richard and Lindsay’s previous restaurants on a number of occasions, so we arrived here with high expectations and we were not disappointed. Wonderful Sunday lunch. As good as we’ve had in a long time. Beef was beautifully cooked and so tender. Nice cosy pub and Lindsay is a great host.

Award winning couple Richard and Lindsey Johns' at the helm. The Plough, is a welcoming and friendly dining pub. He cooks, she looks after the front. Set in a beautiful and quirkie 14th Century pub with log fires, this really is the place to dine or relax with a local ale. Using the freshest of locally sorced ingredients, Richard creates a modern al a carte menu. Well kept ales abound the bar using local suppliers of the finests products. Well worth the de-tour off the main A170 road from Helmsley. Sunday lunch is a must. Bookings essential when dining.
