Went yesterday for the first time just for a drink. Love the inside of the pub. Fire was on, really cosy. Staff lovely and friendly. Fussed the dog and gave her a treat. Even showed us their function room at our request.

What a beautiful place. We stayed in the pool cabin which was dog friendly. Comfortable bed, amazing size hot tub pool, such an amazing size! Wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

Was a last minute booking, and what a gem in a beautiful location steeped in history, had a lovely superior double complete with oak beams and ensuite, with a really nice small outdoor seating area, we also had dinner in the restaurant which was of a very high standard, and the delicious breakfast was included in the room... read full comment
