Very nice visit, we called in, purely for a decent hit of tea and cake on a Saturday lunchtime. Staff were very nice, asked if our dog would like water, and food was very reasonably priced, and great scones and toffee cake, too.

Lovely find, I always think hidden away cafe's upstairs are worth finding. Service a little slow, but I had a lovely omelette with local stilton, it was great. Had to pay for 2 coffees as first one went too quickly , I wish UK had the tradition that your cup is topped up

I am a 60 year old lady and went into this tea room by myself. Unfortunately I came here when there was a large party taking up most of the room. I walked in, and the person in charge seemed very stressed. I waited while they finished serving another customer, but while they were still doing this she kept looking at me... read full comment
