When we arrived the staff noticed us and continued to play on their mobile for 2-3 minutes. We waited patiently at the bar to be told the pub was booked for food (I hadn't asked for any) and the place was virtually empty. After going out the back she confirmed there was no room at the inn! The White Horse Inn is a traditional and beatifully thatched English village Inn set in the small rural village of Stoke Albany on the edge of the picturesque Welland Valley.
Built in 1706, the propertly has been recently extended to include five en-suite guest bedrooms and an elegant dining room yet it has retained its original oak beams and exposed stone wall character.
