I travel a great deal with my business so am used to staying in hotels. The setting of this hotel is stupendous with rolling lawns and the fells in the distance - from the outside it looks impressive. My wife and I had a two night golf break. Course was very wet and we lost a few balls. But it is that time of year. When we arrived there was a sign asking us to go to the restaurant to book in. Many of my fellow guests were made very ill. Someone overheard the staff saying that they found something in the pipes of the drinks that was making people ill. This is disgusting and a serious health hazard. Some of the people made ill were very old and frail.Myself and the other vegans were presented with non vegan desserts.... read full comment
