Came for a meal. Gorgeous location and the decor and open fire is so welcoming. Lovely welcome from the staff. Bit of a pricy menu with steaks £30 each but decided to go for it. Was a bit disappointed if honest. We asked for both medium but the chef clearly didn’t get the message as both came rare. I don’t like returning...

We had a lovely stay, family of 5 adults, for dinner, bed and breakfast. Gorgeous food, great beer, with lovely staff. After a windy walk up Parlick and Fair Snape Fell we went back for a late lunch as we enjoyed the pub so much.

Stayed for one night and looking forward to visiting again in 6 weeks as a group of 8.
Ate in the restaurant where the food and staff were really good. Breakfast was as good as it gets.
Booking direct got us bed and breakfast rather than via booking.com where breakfast isn't included.
