Right up our street. Reasonable prices, EXCELLENT food. We're all about quality and not quantity although we left stuffed. The hostess was kind enough to show us the rooms available before we left. This is great PR as we hadn't even thought about staying but oh my god, the rooms! Lovely experience and would definitely recommend.

Spending a few days in the area taking in the scenery whilst trying to find good places to eat that were dog friendly. Fortunately this wasn't too difficult but the food choices were becoming monotonous with similar 'pies' , basic foods with overpowering sauces or attempts to be exotic that I appreciate many may favour.... read full comment

We had done the forest walk and were pretty tired and in need of refreshments and a graze of some starters.
We weren't dressed for the occasion and came in walking clobber. Greeted with a smile at the bar and 3 staff we ordered drinks and some starters.
