On entering the bank 2 members of staff who actually remember us by name greeted us.Then we were met by the young man with whom we had the appointment.
He was so helpful and sorted what we went to do and more besides.

“I’ve given this BP 4-Stars as it’s very handy being a mix of BP + M&S food plus it has a lot of pumps on the forecourt for your filling pleasure!It’s not got a 5-star review because sometimes the staff can be quite rude. Recently I’ve filled up, walked in and was stood in front of the chocolate deciding what to buy when the cashier kept shouting at me “Yes”… “Next”… “Yes” over and over. I got quite annoyed, don’t rush me!!!!!No need for that at all, what difference is it to him!The forecourt has both a drive-thu automatic car wash, and a DIY Lance + brush.Tyre pump, car vac etc”

“a useful garage selling an assortment of every day items including grocery items with a full off licence the only draw back is its size the forecourt is on the small side and at busy times it can be a problem to get in and out off but still a very useful place”

“Just had two keys cut perfectly here today. No wait, they work perfectly and with special 20% only about £8. When I need something for DIY or for home I always go here first now. No driving, no parking, less hassle and very friendly and enjoyable service. Lots of stock. Throughout lockdown this shop and the staff helped me out so much that I am now a regular. A real village shop who care for their customers, so we should care for them. Thanks for the 20% off and the Prosecco today. You deserve to be busy! ❤️”

“Recently refurbished and looking modern. They have three contactless cash machines inside so you can do most of your banking through those. When you do need to talk to a human there are plenty of friendly faces to assist you. ”

“Staff are so helpful, even though the store is quite small and they’ve crammed as much in as possible, when trying to navigate around as a disabled person they couldn’t do enough for me to help with my shopping.”

“A nice petrol station, with all the facilities. The shop has been refurbished which looks better and has more products on sale. The petrol prices are a higher than other petrol brands, but that is expected as BP is a premium brand - Recommend”

“Really nice and down to earth staff run this local shop. I've never known a day when it hasn't been open in the last seven years! Always clean and tidy. The shelves are always stocked well. More expensive than a supermarket but it serves its purpose.”

“This is a good convenience store with friendly and helpful staff. In particular, it has excellent 'baked on site' bread. The tiger bread French sticks, the wheat, spelt and rye cobs and the sour dough bloomers are all very high quality.”

“With many Barclays Bank branches having been closed down, we are left with either on-line, telephone or using the app to take care of our banking requirements. These methods are fine for people who feel safe or comfortable with using those methods, however, this can be quite daunting for many people given the ever increasing risk and rise of on-line and telephone fraud or simply do not understand modern technology.What happens if you need to pay some cash into your account? well, you have to drive to the nearest banking branch, this is time consuming and I feel unacceptable especially if you are elderly and have difficulty getting around like my 80yr old mother who had received some money and didn't want to keep it in the house.We took a trip to Barclays Bank in Ashford as this is the closest branch, 25 minute drive both ways and £3.30 parking charge, now it appears that the customer is now spending their own money in order to save the bank money, not really acceptable in my opinion but no other option that I am aware of.This review would have been only 2 stars if it hadn't been for the lovely lady at the Ashford branch who overheard what I can only describe as a rude little man telling my mother that she needed to use the self service paying in machine as he was busy apparently doing from what I could see as doing "nothing", she took control in a very nice way and paid the money in using the machine and gave us a quick demonstration at the same time.What a lovely, friendly and helpful lady, only wish I had remembered to ask her name.So as I have stated this would have been a 2 star rating, however I bumped up to 4 stars purely because of the incredibly helpful staff member who actually cared about an elderly lady who was putting her money into Barclays Bank!”

“Asda Ashford Superstore is a great place to do grocery shopping. With a huge variety of products and a spacious layout, it’s easy to find what you need and get around the store. Plus, there’s plenty of parking outside.”
