Lovely local pub in the beautiful village of Eardisfield. A very accommodating landlord. A wake was in progress so staff member very busy but found time to ensure we were catered for as visitors. 2 medium wines and 2 sandwiches £26.

Went in for drinks and maybe lunch. There was a non existent welcome from the bar person, I came to the opinion that we’d interrupted something. We were obviously late for Sunday dinner, so that wasn’t an option. I ordered our drinks, my pint needed a top up, as the pint measure is too the top of the glass, not an inch...

What a miserable unfriendly landlord .hardly said 2 words. Only 1 other couple in there. No atmosphere. Very dissapointed. Won't be going back and certainly don't recommend it either. Perhaps he doesn't like visitors.
