Got a takeaway fish and chips here today at 2pm. The young girl behind the counter was as welcoming as slap in the face. Miserable, unhelpful and I would not return him even if giving out free meals. A disappointment ?

Freshly cooked fish. Perfect texture. Nice butter. Crunchy outside and very tender inside. The chips were very good too. Very crispy and salty outside and tender inside.
The coastguard cafe is a small family run business that consists of a fish and chip takeaway and restaurant. We have been operating in the same premises on Hayling Island since 1942.
