From The Golden Lion

The grade 2 listed Golden Lion building, was built by Stephen Barney, the recorder of the Mutiny on the Bounty trial at Portsmouth, in the late 1700’s. Refurbished in May 2016, the historic Golden Lion in Fareham is the ideal place to visit for beer and food lovers, where you can be assured of a warm welcome in a relaxed atmosphere. Four legged friends are also very welcome(in the bar area) Home cooked pub classics are our speciality, and we like to use local suppliers where possible. Pop in for one of our famous Sunday roasts. Lovers of the great outdoors will feel at home in our sheltered patio area, and we also have a walled garden – ask the team and they will show you the way. Jamie, Steve, Tracy and the team look forward to seeing you
