I have been donating for several months to the West Ealing branch and had always found thestaff very friendly and helpful.Sadly the last time I was in the store, about 3 weeks ago, despite having phoned earlier that day, was told in no uncertain terms that there was no room for my donation.I mentioned I had phoned then was given the 3rd degree by a woman who seemed to be the manager. I could see the staff were uncomfortable she became really quite aggressive. I understand people have difficult days, please don't take it out on customers. When I said I would take it to another charity shop, and the staff asked her to take my donation as a regular donor, she begrudgingly did so.She made me feel very uncomfortable and embarrassedI left it a few weeks, then phoned this morning asking if they were taking donations. I could tell it was the same woman. Once again, quite unpleasant, very sharp "What are you bringing" again I understand a reasonable question, however a little courtesy please. I described my donation then was told "Yes alright "No, not alright. Please, even if you're having a bad day/don't like your job be polite.Sadly I will find another way to support the hospice movement and avoid West Ealing Alice's Atticstaff to do

I have been donating and buying for several years to this charity shop and considers it one of the best in London. The staff, brillantly lead and managed by Carol, is fully dedicated to their job with a full understanding of how important the funds collected are for the Princess Alice Hospice, and for the lives of those who depend on it. Theirs is not just a job but a vocation and one needs it to too often deal with clients who can be, to put it mildly, not very easy. These are probably not those who give to this wonderful and most useful of institution. I cannot but encourage anyone to visit the shop and drop anything which can be parted with. Have no doubt that it will be of very good use.

Delivery drivers were not at all helpful wanted to donate somthime. They arrived at the door demanding to see the item show them it. They saw the folding bed wanted to look at it, they looked at it and they said No when I asked them where can I get rid of it they just loudly said council should do it. We found them not very helpful.
