Where to begin? outstandingly bad service towards a friend with mobility issues. The venue showed absolutely no desire to be inclusive and flexible when politely asked, several times, in advance to reserve one of the many available upstairs seating areas. The venue demanded proof of injury by way of private medical history and insisted this was industry standard practice, despite no other local venue in recent months adopting the same approach.Fortunately the security staff on the night were a little bit more proactive in at least seeking to help find my friend a seat but to no avail and despite approx 75% of the VIP seating being unused, my friend was still denied a seat despite being obviously not fully mobile (crutches et al). The venue support contacts were rude via email and very ?chip on the shoulder? throughout the entire correspondence.Thankfully the band, Normandie, were excellent and we were able to find a suitable viewing point at the back where my friend was able to somewhat lean against the bar, but this was a minor solution compared to what could?ve been achieved with more flexibility from the venue.Overall, 1/10. Would only return if guaranteed two seats; one for me and one for the person holding the gun to my head.Wheelchair accessibility: Stairs only.

I attended a Bratz theme party on the 17th of Feb and while most of the staff were friendly, one security guard (who told us his name was Trevor) was hostile and ablist towards me and my friend.I have mobility issues and my knees were particularly bad that night, and since the female toilets are upstairs, I decided to use the accessible toilet downstairs.the door was locked and as its not a radar lock, we assumed someone was in there so we waited about 5 minutes to see if anyone came out. during that time, someone had seen us waiting and went and got the security to let her into the toilet before us as it turns out there was no one in there. he pushed me out of the way of the door and let the other person in first.I told the him that I was waiting for around 5 minutes and it was a bit rude that he'd let someone else in before us and he replied with "I have to prioritise disabilities" to which I replied that I am technically disabled and due to medical conditions I needed to use the accessible toilet and that I didnt unlock the door myself as there was no key hole for my radar key.he then said that because I wasn't in a wheelchair (neither was the person he let in before me) I'm not a priority for the toilet and that I'm not disabled. he also said that the radar toilet scheme isn't a thing and that I was making it up and that he knew that because he has a bad back and therefore knows every disability scheme in the country. he also said he'd done disability training and knew we weren't disabled, because he has back issues, he knows what disability looks like.I finally got to use the toilet but I could hear him quizzing my friend through the door on her disabilities and telling her that she's wrong and that she bought a radar key online just to skip queues.when I came out the toilet, he carried on, telling me that he better not see me use the stairs that night.at this point our partners saw that something was happening and came to see if everything was okay. my partner was very upset that I'd been treated like this and said something along the lines of 'what do you need to see to believe her? her disability benefits claim? her prescriptions?' and the security guard said yes.my friends partner is also a security guard at a different venue so he stepped in to defuse the situation and my partner went to the bar to ask for a manager to see if this was really policy to quiz us like he was claiming, while i went to explain to another security person what was going on. he then dragged my partner away from the bar, calling him a 'stupid boy' and trying to get him to 'step outside to talk'. he then saw I was talking to the other guard and came over, got less than 3 inches away from my face and started shouting at me for getting his colleagues involved.he also shouted at my friend, causing her to have an anxiety attack.this is not how I expected to be treated, just for trying to use the toilet. We had travelled from Norwich to attend this event for my friends birthday, and we both suffer multiple mental health issues, including chronic anxiety disorder and it was a big deal traveling for a night out, and this conflict has really caused a huge step back for both of us.I wrote an email to the venue and never heard back, but looking at the other reviews, the security seem to be an issue at this venue and the venue don't seem to care.
