The lift was broken. No one around to help elderly and families up the stairs. Had to help myself. No aircon in the rooms so was incredibly hot, the toilet roll holder was broken and the card key kept failing so had to be recut. However, the room was clean and there was plenty of car parking.

No air con which is pretty much standard in most chain hotels now, so room temperature was hard to manage with an old rickety fan and a slightly openable window. Everything was ok, that was until I met Mick on the nights team! He made me feel so welcome, looked after me and recommended what I should do next time I came to Haverhill! He is a huge bonus to the team and I wish him all the best!!!
