Completely awful. Run if you're given room 44. Though the building is dated and you'd expect some antique quirks, lighting in the corridors was poor and there was no headroom. Getting up to our room required scaling an ancient staircase which was falling to pieces and which was also not lit. Really quite dangerous.The shared... read full comment

After reading the reviews I was slightly concerned, but as the saying goes you get what you pay for. My room was rm 35 - comfy 4 poster bed. The bathroom was a retro orange, the water was hot. Tea/coffee/milk/biscuits, clean towels + toiletries provided. Rm 36 smelled of smoke + TV wasn't working so I had the better room... read full comment
