Not worth going there, got refused service, worker kept saying I turn 18 in a few months. lovely. relatively 'new' owners are fab. they are on the ball and welcoming and smiley (A smile goes a long way in my book) - it is a proper pub so there will be men propping up the bar (hurrah) and it is very much 'take us as you find us' but for me that beats all the sterile pubs that are around these days. gorgeous inglenook... read full comment

So lucky to get a table here for my 80th - my fav. pub. Service was good, the staff their usual friendly selves & all the food was great (& hot!) Happy memories! Oh, & the booze was good too ! Many thanks to the hard workers at The Boars Head
