Food and drinks: Food was average, from a not very extensive menu. Only 2 of 3 real ales available and not really "local" ones as claimed

Mediocre at best. Outside seating area untidy with leftover food on tables. Very scruffy menus. Service extremely slow. Food nothing special, and some I had refunded for being overcooked, but cold !? The blurb in the menus talks about fresh home cooked food by our chefs......not when I visited.
