ATMs in Glossop, Derbyshire

“We were very lucky and so grateful that Misbah was on duty at the BP Petrol station in Glossop on the early hours (6.30am) of Sat 19 November. We had suffered a massive puncture on the outskirts of Glossop on our way to catch a flight to Malta from Manchester Airport. We only just made it to the nearest refuge, the forecourt of the Brookfield Road BP Garage. The damage was too much for our bottle of Goo supplied with the car and we didn’t have a spare. The plan was to if possible, leave the car so that the (closed) Ford garage next door could do a repair whilst we were away for 7 days in Malta. We had to act quickly as the clock was ticking and we were in danger of missing the flight. This is where Misbah kindly came to our aid. She immediately sorted out 3 numbers for local taxis and said she would be very happy to take our keys round to the Ford garage when it was open with an explanatory note at the end of her shift. Everything worked like clockwork, the taxi arrived within 15 minutes and we were en-route to Manchester Airport leaving the keys with Misbah. We really didn’t get a chance to thanks Misbah properly, we caught the flight and had great Holiday. She was very kind to us and did it all with a smile. We made it back to UK and picked up the car from the Brookfield Road BP forecourt in the early hours of 27th and got home to Lincoln at 3am with no further dramas.
