    Ordered a tuna and cheese panini and a tuna and cheese toasted sandwich. Our order was the only 1 being in progress .Two toasted sandwiches arrived. The filling was nice and salad & coleslaw but the bread was brown and not of good quality.The outside of the bread hadn't been buttered before toasting so was dry. Not a patch... read full comment

    I've visited both Winters and Bessie's a couple of times. Winters the store may be small but it packs a lot in. There's seems to be quite a lot variety of customer catered for, both tourists and locals. The post office counter seems efficient. Tried Bessie's today, the food was nice and pretty inexpensive for a jacket potato.... read full comment

Now in its 5th generation, The Winter Family have served the local community for over 50 years as a newsagents, post office, gift shop and more recently a coffee shop. We offer a wide variety of greetings cards, gifts, stationary and confectionary. Bessies’ Barista ‘VW themed’ Coffee Shop opened 2019 specialises in ‘proper coffee’ fresh milkshakes, waffles, cakes ,ice cream as well as Mr Whippy ice cream .
