Down in Silloth for a couple of days and didn't know where to eat out so we went to the Golf Hotel for dinner. It was a bit empty, but it's out of season so that's fair enough. I called in here because the previous four eateries I tried were either closed or weren't serving food! The only positive I can say is the food is just about edible but certainly not enjoyable! How can a "trained chef" ruin gammon, chips and egg? The chips had the look and taste of a chip shop and i wouldn't be supprised... read full comment
