Cleary been refurbished recently..but odd, sterile vibe. Staff full of superficial friendliness but offering poor service at the same time. 1 craft beer....everything else from the big brands. Very average food....but it had been heated up very well. Came here because it was close to our Airbnb. Wish we hadn't.

The Tavern at Hale is a stylish yet traditional pub serving good quality, freshly prepared food using locally sourced seasonal ingredients. Enjoy a local real ale or glass of fine wine in the friendly bar, in front of a cosy log fire, or out on the terrace. A box of Tavern Toys will keep little ones entertained and well-behaved dogs are also welcome.
The Tavern was extensively renovated and modernised by new owners in summer 2018.
