Food & drinks: Great Food. The 'legendary' hanging kebab with the tandoori chicken lived up to its name. Lovely place to eat. Dog friendly.

A lovely pub in a beautiful setting but very overpriced. The food was average with lots of chips to fill you up. Wine at £9 for the cheapest glass of Merlot was unacceptable. If pubs want to charge these prices they should expect less business. Will not be returning.

This place never fails to deliver, we often stop en-route to the lakes as we know we can always get a snack/meal, portions are large and staff friendly & helpful. Definitely recommend. We have stayed over here as well, rooms clean and comfortable, will stay again soon.
