This morning my car wouldn't start. Our neighbour jumped it and told us to wait for a local mechanic to replace the battery, and said don't go to Halfords because they'll rip us off. I wish I listened to him. They said a replacement would be £70, and then once they had took my battery out they said that it would actually be £120. Scam artists.Can I say the bloke that fitted it very nice however.

Took the car in due to having a tyre puncture this morning. Couldn't do enough to help and fixed it while I waited. Friendly staff who also have great singing talents ?

I've bought and had a dash cam fitted here, and also on a separate occasion had a headlamp bulb replaced. Both occasions the service was excellent, they couldn't have been more helpful and have done an excellent job for a very reasonable price.

I use this place all the time for services and the free repairs checks because of how handy it is being able to book online. The services aren't TOO badly priced, and it's great that they're open on Saturdays - staff are very friendly and seem knowledgeable! I can't give 5 stars however because the quotes I've been given in the past for repairs are far too high. Best going with an independent garage for those.

MOT done here, Steve and his colleague on reception recommended I join the rewards club which got me a free MOT and loads of deals! 4 new tyres done as already told needed doing. Steve made sure I got the best value for money.Services: General repairs & maintenance

I booked in an MOT at 8.30am I arrived onsite at 8.32am, parked up went inside.The guy says sorry you are too late next MOT is in 2 weeks, called customer services they couldn?t really help.I?m only glad that this happened to me and not my elderly family. Attitude was rubbish at the branch, me and my family will be going elsewhere.

Slow service arrived 9.20 for 9.30 appointment for 2 rear tyres car wasn?t ready till 11.45 then when getting car back found the handbrake not working told them in office they said it was like that when it came 100% wasn?t no offer to fix it they said give us a ring and we?ll sort you a good price just dodgyService: Tires

Took my car for an MOT and it was not started until 4 hours after I dropped it off. I was not notified that it was ready to collect until 6:20pm, which came through by email and not a phone call, at which point I made my way down to find that they had closed the shop at 6pm. Upon collecting my car the next day, I found out that my car had failed it?s MOT and was retested without my consent, and had work done without my consent. I was not notified about any of this at any point and found out by inspecting my MOT certificate afterwards. Also on pickup, I noticed a new fault on my dashboard that was not there the day before upon drop off, that was created when they changed a headlight without my consent, and refused to fix due to a faulty connection, and my oil cap was missing that was 100% there upon drop off. Overall this was a horrific experience and Halfords have lost my custom. I will not be returning and I advise that you avoid them for all future motoring incidents.
