Don?t touch them with a barge pole! Booked in for 2 tyres to be fitted, sat for over 2 hours and they hadn?t even started work on it. Ended up taking tyres to be fitted somewhere else, staff didn?t even bother to update to say it hadn?t been started on after sitting for over 2 hours in reception. Awful service, will never be using them again!

If I could give ZERO stars for ?Gates Tyres? now Protyre I would. Absolute shambles, no one knows what is going on, I was told that my tyre was located in the ?deepest darkest depths of the south of England ? this was 9 days after my car arrived on site and they still didn?t know quite how deep or dark it was as to when it was going to arrive?..which was the reason my car still didn?t have a tyre on after 9 days, I honestly couldn?t believe what I was hearing. Promised phone calls on 4 separate days, only received 1 phone call, no apologies whatsoever, I honestly think it was coming via the Suez canal.Rude reception lady , talking down to a customer ie me whom had requested a call back for 2 days and hadn?t received one is absolutely NOT acceptable.But they had a solution??contact black circles and order and pay for a tyre from them and nominate to have it delivered to Gates- Protyre and they would fit it???.. I have a better solution, I will pick my car up and you won?t be touching it as I had zero confidence at this point. So I picked up my car up (still no apology for the farce and for insinuating that my partner is hard of hearing ) I took it to Simon at Dentons Tyres and guess what, my tyre arrived the next morning and was fitted and ready before 9:30am.So after working in the motor trade for over 20 years I will certainly not be recommending what was Gates , I will use Dentons in future.Mistakes happen, delays happen, things are sometimes out of a businesses control, but be courteous, don?t make excuses , ring when promised not 3 days later and certainly don?t imply the customer is at fault??seriously.

They wanted almost £300 for a ball joint, went to a local independent and they did the job for £100, got quotes from 3 more garages and they all were £100-£150 except Gates.

I tell you to come at a certain time and for some reason the car or in my case the van that I work with and I need is not ready. On top of that, I'm not talking to you properly. Terrible service

Buy online, pay, order an hour of service and be happy that everything will be done well and quickly at the agreed time. Total misunderstanding. The people working there believe that they are more important than the customer. Good morning, they lie. Replacing the tires was supposed to take 30 minutes. After an hour, no one even noticed that my car was still waiting in the parking lot. Ultimately, I lost over 2 hours. I advise against and do not encourage using the services. If you have any choice, don't go there.

I bought 4 tires online for my Toyota. I booked a time for the tire change service with options "wait with your car" for 12 o'clock. As recommended I arrived early. The person who picked up my car keys informed me that in about 30 minutes everything would be done.An hour after I arrived, I started to get nervous because I was supposed to have a meeting with my friends at a later hour. So I'm asking, why isn't my car ready yet? ? A man with a smile on his face apologizes and incomprehensibly explains that he has few employees and it can't be faster. Additionally, he says that the online system does not work adequately with their workshop.But why did he lie to me at the very beginning and promise that everything would be done in 30 minutes? In the end, I lost over 2 hours on something that was supposed to take up to 30 minutes.I do not recommend it and I will never use such a service again by choice.

Used to be great, efficient and a good service. Now you wait hours "it'll be a little while but not too long" (3 hours for 2 tyres in fact). No communication from the staff in the office at all, just a long long wait until they finally get round to it.Several customers left due to waiting so long, and by other reviews booking ahead has no advantages either.Short staffed? maybe. I would rather be turned away than told things can be done but with a 3 hour wait.
