Wow I?ll never leave items here again. Called and spoke to Sue and asked if they were taking donations of toys and clothes, to which she replied absolutely. Arrived the following day and walked in, no hello Sue says ?well you have to help get all that up the stairs because we can?t do it?.. sorry? Not even a hello or thank you or even a please? I explained I had my child in the car but happy to carry to the bottom of their stairs. No help offered. She then came over and started poking through the items and making a face? There were brand new boxes toys including a rave set and so many new and tagged clothes. I then asked for her name which is when she told me Sue and only then did she say ?thank you for your donations?. I?ll never shop or donate here again. She was just so so rude.

Asked to buy a dress in the window and was told no, as it's Monday 15th Jan 2024 and not due to come out the window until Thursday 18th ???. I could reserve it, but not Brazil for two weeks.A second hand shop that does not sell the items in the shop ?

Staff not helpful...

Like any other charity shop the stock varies based on what is donated, so it is possible to find some useful stuff, and the store is looked after well.

Reasonable items at, fair prices but the staff are woefully incapable of processing transactions or being of any real help.

Rubbish service! I reserved a pair of trousers on Friday to pick up on Saturday because of a change of window display. I came from the other side of the city to receive nothing! I've been told that the trousers had a broken zipper so they threw them away. When I said I could fix them, the lady said that a company took them and they are not available. Which shop is not giving a chance to decide if I still would want to buy a reserved item?! A load of rubbish! In my opinion, they just sold them or take for themselves!

Good quality clothing and anything you need you will find here

Every time I go to St Peter's Hospice I always go in thinking I'll just look and I promise I won't buy anything unless I love it and it fits be perfectly. Came away again yesterday with another dress £4.75 and it fits perfectly. There was also a beautiful Jasper Conran summer dress for a fiver! Bargain. However it was sadly 1 size too large for me. There are nice lockable changing rooms, a change from the sketchy curtain rail in the corner that is in most charity shops and the volunteer staff are sweet. The rule of charity stores is check regularly as you never know what you are going to find, I have been lucky and always found something good in here.

A Bristol based organisation, focused on raising money for its two hospices in the city, St Peter's Hospice has charity shops scattered across Bristol. East Street's shop is certainly one of the area's better charity shops, and also one of the cheapest. I bought an amazing vintage dress in here for £5.00 the other day, and a good quality pair of suede boots for the same price too! Staff are friendly and tend to enjoy light hearted banter. So, what are you waiting for? Go and have a rummage!

St Peter's Hospice has about 50 shops in the Bristol area, all raising money for the charity which supports and looks after adults with a terminal illness. There are a lot of charity shops on East Street in Bedmo so some of them are going to suffer. As charity shops go this is OK for clothes and bric a brac, as St Peter's Hospice charity shops go it isn't the most well furnished so if you are going to support this charity then dig out one of their other stores.
