“Visited this week and staff were able to answer all our questions as well as fixing a few issues for us. The only thing is that the counters are quite tight so everyone hears everything. The hours are not very considerate of working hours which can make it difficult to visit.”

“Barclays lost a customer this month…after visiting the Llyod's branch for a quick meeting. I switched from Barclays very easily using the app (which is better app too) and they gave me £175 as an incentive which I got the day my current account switched. All my debits got auto switched along with my salary. And it’s easy to setup joint accounts and child saving accounts on the app, whilst Barclays was a pain having to go into the branch then they did it wrong. My experience with Llyod’s has been much better so hence this review

“Shell petrol station with shop conveniently located along the A4 in Speen. Always find the prices of fuel to be reasonable - worth stopping there for fuel if you're off on a long motorway journey as the prices are certainly better than at a motorway service station. Shop is handy and there is also a cash machine and water / air pump available outside. If you get your timing right there is an attendant who will do the fueling for you too. Staff are friendly too. Can get a bit busy, but not usually a long wait even at the busiest times.”

Some time later, while other banks make you wait 2 weeks for an appointment to get an account started, other two wonderful ladies helped us as we walked in, no need to wait for ages to get started. “The excellent choice of deli style snacks is unsurpassed. The ready to eat Mexican Style Chicken with Soured Cream, Lime & Coriander is exceptional. The choice of wines is also very varied and their New World wine selection is particularly good. The team are always friendly, especially when reaching out to the forecourt to assist via their highly effective Tannoy system. One not to miss!”

“Waitrose is an amazing supermarket wonderland with a great store brand. Being from the US, I was especially impressed by the very reasonably-priced jams and jellies in interesting flavors, like rhubarb ginger. The rhubarb-ginger jelly/jam could have been more sour and more spicy, but the mere fact of it being rhubarb ginger was amazing. I think I experienced Waitrose as "reasonably priced" compared to other, earlier reviews from the US due to a more favorable exchange rate in the last few years, making Waitrose much cheaper than Whole Foods at home, where I don't usually shop due to price. At Waitrose, I had a great time shopping and trying different things. The food here was high quality, and it seemed to be selected for a mix of classic and super interesting. The store-brand product that most impressed me was the Waitrose de-caf Earl Grey tea. It's my absolute favorite of all de-caf Earl Greys I've had, or full-caf Earl Greys for that matter, because it's more aromatic with bergamot than others. I don't know whether Waitrose adds more bergamot or whether they treat their bergamot better, but either way, it's just delicious. It also comes in a larger, more economical size, which was a treat for me because it spoke to the idea of this being an "every day" type of tea, as it should be.”
