I have been coming to this Toby for many years and have felt it’s not all it seems. Staff do not particularly seem motivated nor bothered about service. I really love coming here for a treat! The staff are always nice and the seats you get are normally quite good. Sometimes they can be too close to other people and cramped. They can be a smidge stingy with the meat but everything else is always nice. I love the beef and the dripping potatoes a lot!

Went for breakfast on Sunday, food was decent, pretty standard for Toby Carvary, fair selection for a greasy breakfast. The guy behind the bar wasn't particularly polite or friendly or welcoming, he served us as if we were an inconvenience and just seemed almost annoyed that we'd even bothered to come.
