“A few years back I used to hate coming to this shop. The staff were so miserable all the time. Having just moved back to Shortstown recently I was pleasantly surprised by how genuinely nice all the staff were.Other than that, it's a shop. It's clean, tidy, and you can buy stuff there.”

“It is a nice little shop with the usual bits and bobs like milk, sweets, crisps, etc. It also has a post office attached to it, so they also have envelopes, packaging, etc. From thr few times I have been there the staff have been friendly enough and accommodating. The best part, however, is that they sell individual Worcester sauce french fries, those things are so hard to find and they are currently selling them for 90p. Grab them.”

“It was Saturday morning and we needed to open a under 19's account. The bank that we tried first would not deal with us without an appointment (shame on you TSB). It looked to be a similar situation here but the friendly lady at the main desk informed us we could simply apply online via smart phone and they would then verify. Within 10-15 mins we were all set up and had an account opened.”

“I can't fault the staff for their helpfulness and attention to detail. They assist you in helping yourself wherever possible in order that you can do something again without the need for intervention and, conveniently, where avaible, at home or remotely through the excellent app. The only negative is the opening hours and the fact they are closed completely on. Thursday. If you look this up and are aware you can generally work around it but turning up on the off chance once on a Thursday was a bit of a downer.”

“Having stopped at a local establishment I decided to have breakfast at this shop. The staff were very friendly and the order taken quickly with us changing our choice. The toilet was clean and the tables cleaned regularly. Newspapers were provided for all. I thought the price of the food was great but to add the cost of the coffee made it a little pricey. Saying that the food was well cooked and the service excellent. I would definitely eat at this place again.”

“Helpful and welcoming staff. I recently switched from Starling Bank to Nationwide because I wanted a physical bank. Being a building society it gives me very competitive products that other banks don't.As someone who is an advocate for mental health and making things more accessible it would be good to see Nationwide adopt a mental health champion in branches. In the past I have tried to explain things to them but they have not really understood.Edit: I have upped my review stars from 4 to 5. Today (11.02.24) I entered the branch at 4.29. All the counters were closed, because I was in before 4.30 they opened a counter for me. This may be a small thing but it really helped me as it was urgent. This is customer focused banking. Thank you for the help today!”
